Nikohl Boosheri is a Canadian actress based in Los Angeles. Boosheri was born in Pakistan to Iranian parents while her parents were fleeing Iran and moved to Canada when she was 2 months old. She has never been to Iran. She speaks English and Persian. Nikohl's debut film, Circumstance, won the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award and her acclaimed performance in the film won Best Performance at multiple film festivals, including LA Outfest, the International Rome Film Festival, & Noor Film Festival. In 2013, Nikohl was named among Indiewire's 10 Actors To Watch at the Tribeca Film Festival for her performance as Farah in Meera Menon's feature film, Farah Goes Bang. Nikohl is also a songwriter, frequently collaborating with Los Angeles artist Wild the Coyote. Boosheri recently recurred on the Netflix original series Altered Carbon and can currently be seen playing Adena El-Amin on Freeform's The Bold Type'.
